Cricket - my passion
I am kind of enjoying my days as a cricket fan. I usually get much tensed in a crunch situation of a cricket match. I am one of those who wouldn’t like to eat or in fact do anything when things are tense out there.
One of my colleagues asked me whether I remember the match where Miandad hit a 6 of the last ball to fetch that famous victory for Pakistan. I very vividly remember it. I was probably 11/12 at that time and I was so tensed that I walked out of the house for the last 2 overs. I was walking aimlessly in the street praying that India should win not having the courage to watch the TV. I was just back to watch the last ball and we all know what happened. You can never forget things in life if you passionately love it.
Cricket is my passion just like many other fellow Indians out there. Go India!

Same here - I remember that exact six by Miandad - will never forget it. Even now when I play and go to bat in a crunch situation for my team - I jokingly say to my teammates "Miandad is going in to bat...".
The only thing that has changed over the years is even though I want India to win, I also appreciate and enjoy the sport when the opposition wins. Some of that "jealous fanatical passion" for India to always win has faded a bit for me. For instance, I have been a fan of Inzamam's batting in the past many years because I think like Dravid for India, he is (was) Pakistan's wall. I also thoroughly enjoy the quality of cricket Australia and South Africa offer. And in the recent days even appreciated the youthful aggression of Bangladesh and the highly spirited and fantastic performace of newbie Ireland as both teams took on Cricket "giants", India and Pakistan and soundly beat them!
But, yes - go India!
Bangladesh played very well and they deserved to win the game.
I agree. It's always nice to watch a well played game no matter who plays.
